Taiwan Terns

Birds Sing a Song!

On November 11, 1994 when Taiwan Cement Corp. was jubilantly celebrating the 40th anniversary of privatization, this second ecological film entitled "Taiwan Terns" made its debut. As the first film aiming at a variety of species of Taiwan's seashore birds, it depicts the close interrelationship between the water bank environments and migratory birds, appealing to the public to leave greater room for Taiwan's birds. That is to mean, as the core of our philosophy, to leave greater room of living for ourselves and our children.

The Film was presented to the 31st Golden Horse Awards and the 18th International Wildlife Show, and was nominated for awards in both significant events. That film was further selected on behalf of Taiwan for the 40th Asian-Pacific Film Festival held in Indonesia.

This is the third ecological film we have produced in a row, mainly introducing to the specific species of birds found in the Central Ranges 2,000~3,800 meters above the sea level. This also represents our first try to team up with experts who study feathered creatures. Together we produced a film featuring the ecological environments, male and female birds, nest building, the roles birds play in breeding and feeding as well as reproduction. Through the attractive pictures and significant stories, we sincerely advise the public to honor the living space for those feathered creatures.
