Birds Sing a Song!
To awaken the public, business sector and the government to perceive how important ecological protection is, Taiwan Cement Corp. has funded Dr. Chin Huan-piao, the director of Taiwan Field Studio since January 1991, to produce a series of ecological films taking Taiwan's natural ecology as the backgrounds. The films produced under our funding carry meaningful education on environmental protection and ecology. Meanwhile, they illustrate the beautiful but true aspects of Taiwan's nature.It is our sincere hope that the public after viewing the films will better love and take care of our soil.
This is the first film focusing on ecology funded by Taiwan Cement Corp. It systematically records more than thirty species of Taiwan's wild birds (e.g., the Pheasants, Taiwan Terns, etc.) through vivid and attractive pictures. It has been widely publicized and reproduced into videotapes. When presented to the 29th Golden Horse Awards and Tokyo Global Environment Exhibitions II, it was nominated for awards. The film suggests the remarkable devotion by Taiwan Cement Corp. and, meanwhile, significantly encourages the producers.
